Precinct voting results

Nov. 16, 2011 —     The total turn out in this years general election in Carter County was 4,000 voters, putting the total at 22 percent.

    Straight party votes were 1,382 or 63.25 percent for the Democratic candidates, 779 or 35.65 percent for the Republican candidates and 24 or 1.10 percent for the Libertarian party.

    There are 27 precincts in Carter County and the official voting percentages are as follows;

    For the Buffalo precinct Democrat Steve Beshear and Jerry Abramson for the Governor and Lieutenant Governor race won with 50.66 percent with Republican opponents  David Williams and Richie Farmer earned 45.39 percent and Independent candidates Gatewood Galbraith and Dea Riley had 3.95 percent.

    Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes took 45.21 percent of the votes for Secretary of State while her Republican counter part Bill Johnson earned 54.79 percent.

    Democratic candidate for Attorney General  Jack Conway earned 48.94 percent of the votes and Republican Todd P'Pool gained 51.06 percent of the votes.

     Adam Edelen, the democratic candidate for the Auditor had 44.60 percent while Republican John Kemper earned 55.40 percent and Write-in candidate Kim Hay, who received zero votes.

    In the State Treasurers race, Democrat Todd Hollenbach gained 45.77 percent, while Republican K.C. Crosbie took 52.11 percent of the votes and Libertarian candidate Kenneth Moellman Jr, gained 2.11 percent of the votes.

    Bob Farmer, the Democrat in the race  for Commissioner of Agriculture earned 40.14 percent of votes. Republican candidate James Comer had 59.86 percent.

    In the Courthouse precinct Beshear and Abramson had 54.01 percent, Williams and Farmer received 40.11 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained    5.88 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  55.62 percent and her opponent Johnson had 44.38 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 55.49 percent, and P'Pool had 44.51 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 49.72 percent, Kemper had 50.28  percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 46.96  percent, Hollenbach earned 49.17  percent and Moellman received 3.87 percent.

    Comer took 51.10 percent and Farmer had 48.90 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the Gregoryville precinct Beshear and Abramson had 61 percent, Williams and Farmer received 34 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 5 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  52 percent and her opponent Johnson had 48 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 55.10 percent, and P'Pool had 44.90 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 47.47 percent, Kemper had 52.53  percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 52.86  percent, Hollenbach earned 53.06  percent and Moellman received 4.08 percent.

    Comer took 53 percent and Farmer had 47 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the Iron Hill precinct Beshear and Abramson had 59 percent, Williams and Farmer received 39 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 2 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  54.08 percent and her opponent Johnson had 45.92 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 56.70 percent, and P'Pool had 43.30 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 53.13 percent, Kemper had 46.88  percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 41.84  percent, Hollenbach earned 53.06  percent and Moellman received 5.10 percent.

    Comer took 46.39 percent and Farmer had 53.61 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the Oakland precinct Beshear and Abramson had 64.52 percent, Williams and Farmer received 34.10 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 1.38 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  65.73 percent and her opponent Johnson had 34.27 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 65.40 percent, and P'Pool had 34.60 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 57.69 percent, Kemper had 42.31 percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 36.36  percent, Hollenbach earned 60.77  percent and Moellman received 2.87 percent.

    Comer took 46.48 percent and Farmer had 43.52 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the East Grayson/ Stinson precinct Beshear and Abramson had 76.17 percent, Williams and Farmer received 20.56 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 3.27 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  75.71 percent and her opponent Johnson had 24.29 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 77.78 percent, and P'Pool had 22.22 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 71.29 percent, Kemper had 28.71 percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 24.64 percent, Hollenbach earned 73.91 percent and Moellman received 1.45 percent.

    Comer took 28.37 percent and Farmer had 71.63 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the North Midland Trail precinct Beshear and Abramson had 61.54 percent, Williams and Farmer received 32.48 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 5.98 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  58.68 percent and her opponent Johnson had 41.32 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 62.39 percent, and P'Pool had 37.61 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 53.39 percent, Kemper had 46.61 percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 38.98 percent, Hollenbach earned 55.08 percent and Moellman received 5.93 percent.

    Comer took 41.88 percent and Farmer had 58.12 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the South Midland Trail precinct Beshear and Abramson had 59.88 percent, Williams and Farmer received 33.95 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 6.17 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  58.49 percent and her opponent Johnson had 41.51 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 61.29 percent, and P'Pool had 38.71 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 51.95 percent, Kemper had 48.05 percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 38.31 percent, Hollenbach earned 57.14 percent and Moellman received 4.55 percent.

    Comer took 46.84 percent and Farmer had 53.16 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the Stovall precinct Beshear and Abramson had 64.62 percent, Williams and Farmer received 27.69 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 7.69 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  66.32 percent and her opponent Johnson had 33.68 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 66.14 percent, and P'Pool had 33.86 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 62.16 percent, Kemper had 37.84  percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 35.48 percent, Hollenbach earned 62.37 percent and Moellman received 2.15 percent.

    Comer took 40.53 percent and Farmer had 59.47 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the North Rush  precinct Beshear and Abramson had 66.39 percent, Williams and Farmer received 31.15 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 2.46 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  67.23 percent and her opponent Johnson had 32.77 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 68.33 percent, and P'Pool had 31.67 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 62.39 percent, Kemper had 37.61 percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 32.77 percent, Hollenbach earned 64.71 percent and Moellman received 2.52 percent.

    Comer took 37.50 percent and Farmer had 62.50 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the South Rush  precinct Beshear and Abramson had 65.13 percent, Williams and Farmer received 32.24 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 2.63 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned  57.52 percent and her opponent Johnson had 42.48 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 63.95 percent, and P'Pool had 36.05 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 57.24 percent, Kemper had 42.76 percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 39.04 percent, Hollenbach earned 57.53 percent and Moellman received 3.42 percent.

    Comer took 41.22 percent and Farmer had 58.78 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the Alpha Hall precinct Beshear and Abramson had 68.45 percent, Williams and Farmer received 22.82 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 8.74 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned 69.76 percent and her opponent Johnson had 30.24 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 69.57 percent, and P'Pool had 30.43 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 62.38 percent, Kemper had 37.62 percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 32.18 percent, Hollenbach earned 65.35 percent and Moellman received 2.48 percent.

    Comer took 35.96 percent and Farmer had 64.04 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the Denton precinct Beshear and Abramson had 64.71 percent, Williams and Farmer received 31.37 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 3.92 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned 60.78 percent and her opponent Johnson had 39.22 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 66 percent, and P'Pool had 34 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 60 percent, Kemper had 40 percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 34.62 percent, Hollenbach earned 63.46 percent and Moellman received 1.92 percent.

    Comer took 41.18 percent and Farmer had 58.82 percent for the Commissioner of Agriculture race.

    In the Hitchins precinct Beshear and Abramson had 61.06 percent, Williams and Farmer received 32.69 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 6.25 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned 62.81 percent and her opponent Johnson had 37.19 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 66.83 percent, and P'Pool had 33.17 percent of the votes.

    Edelen earned 60.62 percent, Kemper had 39.38 percent and Hay gained zero percent in the Auditors race.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 33.33 percent, Hollenbach earned 62.05 percent and Moellman received 4.62 percent.

    In the Pleasant Hill precinct Beshear and Abramson had 72.63 percent, Williams and Farmer received 22.11 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 5.26 percent in the Governors race.

    Grimes earned 69.57 percent and her opponent Johnson had 30.43 percent for the Secretary of State Race.

    In the Attorney General's race Conway earned 67.42 percent, and P'Pool had 32.58 percent of the votes.

    In the State Treasurers race Crosbie took 28.09 percent, Hollenbach earned 66.29 percent and Moellman received 5.62 percent.

    In the Willard precinct Beshear and Abramson had 66.11 percent, Williams and Farmer received 31.67 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 2.22 percent in the Governors race.

    In the Olive Hill Courthouse precinct Beshear and Abramson had 53.47 percent, Williams and Farmer received 42.36 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 4.17 percent in the Governors race.

    In the Smokey Valley precinct Beshear and Abramson had 56.78 percent, Williams and Farmer received 37.19 percent, and Galbraith and Riley gained 6.03 percent in the Governors race.
