Miller, Kelly badly burned


Aug. 21, 2013 — Two men are battling serious injuries after a freak accident near Grayson.

Micah Miller, 26, and Jarrod Kelly, 29, both of Grayson, were burned in a gas explosion Aug. 9 on Frontage Road.

Carter County Deputy Sheriff Greg Gillum told the Journal-Times that a loose propane gas line between the home and garage exploded when a cigarette lighter was ignited.

Miller and Kelly were transported to Cabell- Huntington Hospital where they remain. Kelly is listed in serious condition and Miller was reported as critical.

The sheriff's office was assisted by a Kentucky State Police arson investigator.
