2014 Miss Carter County Fair pageant

July 9, 2014 — The deadline to enter the Miss Carter County Fair Pageant is Thursday, July 10, at 5 p.m.

Because no late entries will be accepted, contestants must complete entry before the deadline.

Nine age divisions from 0 to 21 years of age will compete for the crowns of the Miss Carter County Fair Pageant to be held Sunday, July 13, at 2 p.m. in the Prichard Elementary School gym. Doors open at 1 p.m. with concessions available. 

Age divisions include: Girls 0-11 months Baby Miss; 12-23 months Wee Miss; 24-35 months Mini Miss; 3-4 years Tiny Miss; 5-7 years Little Miss; 8-10 years Junior Miss; 11-12 years Pre-Teen Miss;13-15 years Teen Miss; 16-21 years Miss Carter County Fair 2014.

All age divisions will compete on stage in formal wear or Sunday best attire. The 16-21 year age division contestants also will compete in swimwear and one on-stage interview question.

Optional photogenic and portfolio competitions will be held in each category.

All winners will receive a trophy, crown, sash, and free admission to the fair.  First and second runners-up will receive a trophy. All contestants will receive a small trophy. Photogenic and Portfolio Winners will also receive a sash.

Miss Carter County Fair will receive paid entry fee to the Kentucky State Fair Pageant in January after attending a minimum of three nights of the Carter County Fair with two of the three being Friday and Saturday.

Miss Carter County Fair is open to all counties in Kentucky. Contestants must compete in beauty competition to be eligible for portfolio and photogenic competitions.

Beauty entry fees are $50; Photogenic $10 per photo (up to 3 photos no larger than 8x10, no frames); Portfolio $20 (6-15 photos in album no larger than 8x10). 

Entry forms may be obtained online at www.cartercountyfair.org or in person at All Creatures Veterinary Care and at Printworks in Grayson.

All completed entry forms and photos must be returned to All Creatures Veterinary Care or mailed to Cindy Gibson, PO Box 1259, Grayson, KY 41143. It is the responsibility of the contestant to call to confirm receipt of entry if sent by mail.
