April 9, 2014 — Today is when Kentucky Gives Day brings charities and Kentuckians together for a powerful day of action.
From midnight last night to midnight tonight, supporters of participating Kentucky nonprofits can go online to connect with causes they care about and make tax-deductible donations.
Carter County has three organizations in this year's event, including Carter County Community Fund, Olive Hill Historical Society and Bethany House Christian Service Center, Inc.
Organized by the Kentucky Nonprofit Network, Inc. (KNN), Kentucky Gives Day is an innovative online fundraising event that encourages Kentuckians to donate as much money as possible in support of their favorite participating charities in a 24-hour period.
Kentucky Gives Day is a collaboration of KNN, participating nonprofits and corporate and media partners.
KNN, the state’s association of charities, exists to serve, strengthen and advance the Commonwealth’s non-profit organizations.
