A Grayson woman accused of “sexting” a minor appeared in Carter District Court Monday for arraignment.
Melissa Green, 40, was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with prohibited use of electronic communication system to induce a minor to engage in sex.
Although the Kentucky State Police have not issued a press release on the arrest, the court file indicates that Green exchanged "erotic" photographs and video with a minor.
Bond was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 property with the stipulation that Green is prohibited from being on school property, have no contact with the alleged victim, and to refrain from using social media or the Internet.
A preliminary hearing will take place Monday, May 19, at 2 p.m. in Carter District Court to determine if the case will be turned over to the grand jury.
The charge is a Class D felony. If convicted, Green could face one to five years in prison.
