131 marijuana plants seized

April 4, 2012 —     Two Grayson men were arrested Tuesday when information led police to an indoor marijuana growing operation.

Ryan Fields, 35, was charged with marijuana cultivation. Clayton Price, 25, who was also arrested in the incident, was served with an outstanding warrant.

Carter County sheriff’s deputies, with the assistance of Grayson police, searched a home on Paradise Hill and seized 131 marijuana plants and growing equipment.

An informant told deputies about the growing operation. Deputy Jon McCormick went to the home to investigate and was able to smell the plants from outside. A search warrant was issued and police were able to enter the home to make the arrests.

Fields is currently being held in the Carter County Detention Center.
