Grand jury indicts 50

July 16, 2008 The Carter County Grand Jury indicted 50 individuals on June 26, 2008.

The indictments include 56 drug charges and are as follows:

• Doug Johnson, 34, of Clark Hill, Olive Hill, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, cocaine.

• Charles Paul Tomlin, 24, of Seagraves Hollow, Olive Hill, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Ronda Claxon (DeWease), 29, of Fultz Road, Grayson, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Andy Fuller, age unknown, of Bourbun Hollow, Grayson, was indicted on two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Charles Cooley, 30, of Perry Tabernacle Road, Olive Hill, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Darrell L. Nolan, 29, of Robert & Marty Street, Grayson, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Jefferey Fryer, 31, of Fryer Hollow, Rush, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Greg Waugh, 43, of Fairview Hill, Grayson, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Tony Cutwright, 31, of Democraft, Olive Hill, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, crack cocaine.

• Travis DeWayne Burton, 30, of East Highway 60, Grayson, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Earl Fryer, 45, of Fryer Hollow, Rush, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Christopher J. Wages aka Jack Wages, 34, of Holcomb Street, Grayson, was indicted on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone.

• Melissa Stewart, 39, of Paradise Hill, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Robert Allen Bellew, 28, Rt. 1, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Jason A. Lewis, 25, of South Hord Street, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Charles L. Wages, 28, of Carol Malone Blvd., Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• William Wilburn aka Bill Wilburn, 36, of Radio Hill, Grayson, was indicted on two Class C felony counts of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Andrea Womack, 28, of Columbia Drive, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• David R. Suttles, 46, of Paradise Hill, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Weston Everman, 26, of Valley View, Grayson, was indicted on two Class C felony counts of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Wayne Jackson, 54, of St. Hwy. 1661, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Cletus Ferguson, 35, of Yellowstone Drive, Willard, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance cocaine.

• Jason Jackson, 33, of Leon Road, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Ashley Flaugher, 25, of Sunset Hill, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Paul Sherman Burchett, 42, of Stan Branch, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Austin DeWayne Burchett, 21, of Stan Branch, Grayson, was indicted on one Class D felony count of facilitation to trafficking in the scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, accusing him of aiding and abetting Paul Sherman Burchett.

• Cody DeWayne Spillman, 26, of Stan Branch, Grayson, was indicted on one Class D felony count of facilitation to trafficking in the scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, accusing him of aiding and abetting Paul Sherman Burchett.

• Marlene Gilbert, 56, of Mushroom Road, Olive Hill, was indicted on one Class D felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance hydrocodone.

• Rodney Gilbert, 25, of Mushroom Road, Olive Hill, was indicted on one Class D felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance hydrocodone.

• Joshua Greer, 27, of Sunset Hill, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Tex Garris, 55, of Garris Ridge, Olive Hill, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance methadone and one Class D felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the second degree, the schedule II controlled substance hydrocodone.

• William Greer, 37, of Damron Mayo Road, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone and one Class D felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the second degree, the schedule II controlled substance hydrocodone.

• James Allen Prince, 34, of Robert and Mary Ave., Grayson, was indicted on one Class D felony count of trafficking in marijuana within 1000 yards of a school first offence, when he sold the controlled substance marijuana within 1000 yards of a building used primarily for classroom instruction.

• Otis Burchett, 72, of Bourbon Hollow Road, Grayson, was indicted on one Class B felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree, second offense, the scheduled II controlled substance cocaine, having a prior conviction to this offense; a Class C felony of trafficking in the scheduled II controlled substance oxycodone, first degree, second offense; one Class D felony count of unlawful possession second offense of drug paraphernalia; one Class C felony of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and one Class A felony count of being a persistent felony offender in the second degree by being more than 21 years of age and who stands convicted of a felony after having been convicted of one previous felony.

• Rose J. Burchett, 57, of Bourbon Hollow Road, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance cocaine; one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone; and unlawful possession first degree of drug paraphernalia.

• Lavonda K. Whitaker, 39, of East Second Street, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone; and one Class D felony of trafficking a controlled substance in the second degree in or near a school when she sold alprzolam, a scheduled IV non-narcotic controlled substance within 1000 yards of a school building used primarily for classroom instruction.

• Rosemary Kovi, 37, of Coal Camp Road, Hitchins, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone; and one Class D felony of trafficking a controlled substance in the second degree in or near a school when she sold alprzolam, a scheduled IV non-narcotic controlled substance within 1000 yards of a school building used primarily for classroom instruction; one Class A misd. count of possession of marijuana; and one Class A misd. of possession of drug paraphernalia.

• John W. Whitaker, 20, of May Circle, Ashland, was indicted one Class A misd. count of possession of marijuana; and one Class A misd. of possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Gregory Alan Parsons, 23, of State Highway 1661, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Amber Kitchen, 24, of State Highway 1661, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• William D. Lawson, 24, of Old KY 7, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Ben J. Reyes, 24, of Bowing, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Jessica Clare, 20, St. Hwy. 1661, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Charles Kirby Morrison, 26, Carol Malone Blvd., Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Melissa A. Duke, 43, of St. Hwy. 1661, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Aaron Steven Mathes, 24, of Sunset Hill, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Cody D. Spillman, 26, of Stan Branch, Grayson, was indicted on one Class C felony count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, the schedule II controlled substance oxycodone.

• Lonnie Marcum, 26, of Meadowbrook, Vanceburg, was indicted on one Class D felony count of fleeing or evading police in the first degree while operating a motor vehicle; and one Class A misd. Count of fleeing or evading police in the second degree by being on foot and disobeying a peace officer’s direction.

• James McKenzie, Jr., 34, of Icedam Hollow, Catlettsburg, was indicted on one Class B felony count of robbery in the first degree by threatening the use of physical force while armed with a pistol and in the course of the theft at the Marathon Service Station on U.S. 60 in Carter County.

• Billy Shepard, 20, of Goodyear Drive, Olive Hill, was indicted on one Class D felony count of theft of motor vehicle registration plate while operating a motor vehicle that had a stolen registration plate on it.
