Justice Center plaque

July 8, 2009 — Although the new Carter County Judicial Center was completed in 2004, the dedication of the plaque for the building was not put on display until Friday, June 26, 2009.

So much time passed between the building’s completion and the dedication of the plaque because getting things done through the office of the court in Frankfort is a slow process, according to Carter County Judge-Executive Charles Wallace.

“I’m glad it’s went up, finally,” Wallace said. “I’ve been after them ever since the building was finished. I called them about every month or so but finally it’s here.”
