21 indicted by Carter grand jury

June 10, 2009 Twenty-one individuals were indicted by a Carter County Grand Jury on May 29, with a total of 25 counts.

Indictments are as follows:

Joshua D. Holley, 28, of Carol Malone Blvd., Grayson, was indicted on one count of failure to comply with sex offender registration by failing to notify appropriate authority of his change of address, a Class D felony, dated on or around January 30, 2009.

Regina Lyons, 60, of 613 Dehart Lane, Olive Hill, was indicted on one count of trafficking in the Scheduled II controlled substance Oxycodone, first degree, first offense, a Class C felony, and one count of trafficking in the Scheduled III controlled substance Hydrocodone, second degree, first offense, a Class D felony, dated on or about July 7, 2008.

Billy R. Thompson, Jr., 34, of Blue Hall Rd., Olive Hill, was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking for taking parts of an air conditioner valued more than $300 and belonging to Bowen Church of Christ, A Class D felony dated August 16, 2008. Thompson was also indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking by taking an air conditioner unit valued over $300 belonging to Soldier Church of God, a Class D felony dated September 24, 2008. He was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking for taking parts of an air conditioner unit valued over $300 belonging to George Jordan, a Class D felony, dated August 13, 2008.

Aaron Jones, 31, of Route 2, Box 142A, Grayson was indicted on one count of flagrant non-support for failure to support his minor child pursuant to court order in the amount of $7,406. – a Class D felony.

Aaron P. Jones, 31, address above, was also indicted on one count of flagrant non-support for failure to support two minor children pursuant to court order in the amount of $22, 394.87 – a Class D felony.

Bruce Eugene Sexton, 36, of N. State Highway 7, Grayson was indicted on one count of failure to support his minor child pursuant to court order in the amount of $14,835.44 – a Class D felony.

Crystal Lilly, 30, of 923 Broadway Apt. 3, Paintsville was indicted on one count of flagrant non-support by failing to support her minor child pursuant to court order in the amount of $9,289.60 – a Class D felony.

Brian Moore, 26, 1620 Little Sinking, Olive Hill was indicted on one count of failure to support his minor child pursuant to court order in the amount of $6,243.25 – a Class D felony.

Gregory A. Rivers, 29, of King Road, Olive Hill was indicted on one count of theft of identity for using Alvin Rivers’ identity on account information on a United Brotherhood of Carpenters #472, Ashland Vacation Account and obtaining approximately $10,000 without his consent – a Class D felony.

Gary Moore, 21, of S. Highway 1, Hitchins was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking for taking an automobile owned by David McDavid with a value over $300 – a Class D felony, dated February 26, 2009.

Bruce Jones, 21, of Ky. Rt. 1620, Soldier was indicted on one count of criminal mischief, 1st degree, when he destroyed a garage worth more than $1,000 owned by Chris Taylor – a Class D felony, dated March 19, 2009.

Dale Franks, 62, of Jones Branch, Olive Hill was indicted on one count of incest by having sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, a Class B felony.

Bradley Dummitt, 42, of Dummitt Ridge, Garrison was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property when he received tools valued over $300 knowing they were stolen, a Class D felony, dated April 11, 2009.

James R. Kiser, 34, of Green Hill Road, Olive Hill was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking for taking a 1995 pickup valued more than $300 belonging to Charles Gilbert, a Class D felony – a Class D felony.

Michael P. Fife, 25, of Heritage Place, Morehead and Shane E. Abbott, 25, of Cooley Lane, Olive Hill were indicted on one count of receiving stolen property by possessing 29 vehicle batteries valued over $300 knowing they were stolen, a Class D felony – dated September 9, 2008.

Glen J. Triplett, age unknown, of Diamond Ridge, Webbville and Javier Afanador, age and address unknown, were indicted on one count of criminal possession of a forged instrument for possessing forged checks in the amount of $2,197.97 drawn on First National Bank, a Class D felony – dated December 24, 2007.

Ranson Jason Roberts, 30, of N. Highway 7, Grayson and Justin Kyle Roberts, 26, of Everman’s Creek, Grayson were indicted on one count of receiving stolen property by possessing an excavator valued over $1,000 knowing it was stolen, a Class D felony – dated December 9, 2008. They were also indicted on one count of obscuring the identity of a machine by possessing an excavator belonging to Walker Company valued over $1,000 upon which the ID numbers had been removed, a Class D felony – dated December 9, 2008.

Tabatha Easterling, 22, of 1003 Henderson Branch, Olive Hill and Tony Easterling, 24, of the same address were indicted on 34 counts of unauthorized procurement of a controlled substance, first offense, by procuring a controlled substance by use of a fraudulently obtained prescription – a Class D felony. The counts date between June 26, 2008 and December 18, 2008.

An indictment does not prove guilt.
