Crash kills Grayson woman

April 2, 2008 — A Grayson woman died from injuries after her Jeep Wrangler crashed into a truck around 8 a.m. Monday morning, approximately four miles north of Grayson on KY 1 and just before Kentucky Underground location.

According to Kentucky State Police, Linda Everman, 49, was traveling south on KY 1 when her vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a 2004 International truck headed north on KY 1 and driven by Jason Wade, 22, of Grayson.

The Grayson Fire Department extricated Everman’s body and Carter County Deputy Coroner Ronnie Wallace pronounced her dead at the scene.

Wade was transported to King’s Daughters’ Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by KSP Trooper Jeff Kelly. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the collision.

An accident Reconstructionist from KSP Post 8 in Morehead also assisted.

Arrangements for Everman are pending at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson.
