Pot of Gold

March 5, 2008 — The 11th annual Pot of Gold Antique Show and Sale is back and better than ever this year.

The event, sponsored by the Grayson Tourism Commission, is scheduled for March 15 and 16 at East Carter Middle School and will have over 50 dealers on hand.

It’s known as the “Best Antique Show in Eastern Kentucky,” and gathers over 1,000 people each year who are looking for that one special item, said president Delores Wilburn.

“There is normally something for everyone at the show,” Wilburn commented. “About anyone interested in that kind of stuff can find something they like. There will be anything from small items to even furniture. We hope everyone comes out to enjoy the show.”

And as a special show feature, an appraiser will be available to offer free estimates of value. There is a limit to two items per person. No guns will be allowed, Wilburn said.

Saturday’s show will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. Sunday’s event is set to take off at 10 a.m. and go until 4 p.m.
