Limits on Congress term might help

Dec. 19, 2012 — The editor:

To anyone who wants to change Washington, I believe when our government was set up many years ago that Congress wasn't meant to be a career.

We have a term limit for the President, either 4 years or 8 years. Why no limits for Congress, say 6 or 8 years. Just think about the new prospective it would have every few years, and possibly new ideas of how they should run our government.

While we are at it we should limit them to the same things they give us. For instance the same health care plan and the same retirement plan (Social Security).

Just some things to think about.
