April 23, 2014 —
The Grayson Lake Spring Cleanup took place on Saturday, April 5. Together with the Army Corps of Engineers, The Friends of Grayson Lake, ACTC, and other volunteers, a crowd of 130 show up to do their part in keeping Grayson Lake clean.
Friends of Grayson Lake provided food and refreshments to the hard working volunteers. FOGL would like to thank Prichards Outdoor Shop and Valley of Hope Farm for donating so this meal was available. All in all, we had a very successful day in filling up a dumpster with garbage found around the park and near roadways. This fall The Army Corps of Engineers, Marathon Marina, and Friends of Grayson Lake will host another cleanup. The date has not yet been determined.
