Aug. 14, 2013 —
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bryan Greenhill, Papa John’s Pizza, GO Radio, and Dollar Tree, for sponsoring “Stuff the Bus.” Through Mr. Greenhill’s Stuff the Bus initiative, the Carter County Family Resource & Youth Service Centers received school supplies, food, and monetary donations.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to all who gave: businesses, individuals, and churches, and a special thanks to Kings Daughters Medical Center for all their support.
The donated school materials and supplies helped to support the FRYSCs efforts during their Back to School Kick Off and also as students returned to the classroom this week. The food donations will allow the FRYS Centers to continue their weekend backpack program.
With this support, the students in Carter County were afforded a better opportunity to start school prepared and be successful in the upcoming school year.
Yours truly in education,

Alcohol sales would hurt Olive Hill
I am 64 years old and I have lived in the city limits of Olive Hill my entire life. I have seen Olive Hill when it was prosperous and I have seen it when it was not so prosperous.
Against liquor sales in Olive Hill
Along the roadways of our little town, we see signs urging us to vote YES for legal liquor sales in Olive Hill. Sadly, we see no signs urging us to vote NO!
In appreciation of Pastor Barrell
Some members of the Lower Grassy Church of Christ, in my opinion, should hang their heads in shame. On February 23, 2014 a wonderful man of God and their Pastor Larry Barrell was dismissed from preaching.
Thanks for contributing to Operation Christmas Child
I’m writing to thank Grayson residents for their generosity in helping thousands of suffering children worldwide this Christmas.
