Thanks for 4th of July support in Olive Hill

July 25, 2012 — The editor:

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped with and or participated in our recent 4th of July festivities in Olive Hill. I know that the weather was scorching, but many still came out and joined in the fun. There is such a great spirit that runs throughout Olive Hill and the surrounding area and it's great to see that come out! I want to say thanks so much to the Chamber of Commerce members and the many sponsors of the 4th activities, such as Scenic Hills Realty for the music by Kentucky Backroads, The Chamber Membership along with Commercial Back of Grayson and Architectural Planning and Design for co-sponsoring the fireworks as well as Representative Jill York for sponsoring the grand finale. Also, congratulations to all of our window display winners. No one person or group can make events like this happen. It takes so many people working to do so many little things to make it all come together. On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, I say thank you to everyone for making the 4th celebration a success.
