Nov. 5, 2008 — Apology and explanation

Editor,

First, I apologize to everyone that we told we would be on this week's episode of Paranormal State.

Back on July 14, 2008, I got an email from Ryan Buell asking us if we could come to Quincy, IL to do an on camera interview for the show in which we would discuss our experiences with the case and our passing of the case on to Ryan's group, The Paranormal Research Society.

After receiving the email from Ryan, that evening we headed out for Illinois. We taped our segment the following day. In addition we stayed around for another day with Ryan and the entire Paranormal State cast and crew as they investigated and filmed.

For those that may doubt us being there and being filmed, I still have that email from Ryan as proof if needed. There are also pictures taken of Chris and I with the cast of Paranormal State on location as some of you saw in the newspapers or online. Plus we have a copy of the check from Paranormal State where they reimbursed us for our expenses of the trip. And of course, the client can also verify that we were there. In fact, they keep in contact with us and have publicly thanked us numerous times for helping them. In addition, Ryan Buell has issued our group, Commonwealth Paranormal, a thank you on his personal MySpace blog. We will share any of that with anyone that doubts our being there for the filming.

Apparently for whatever reason, the producers decided to cut our part out of the show. And we were unaware of that prior to the show airing. Are we upset that we were cut? No. Were we disappointed? Yes to some degree for the simple reason we told everyone we would be on the show and newspapers reported that we would be on the show; afterall, Ryan told us he wanted to do an on camera interview for the show.

However, our main reasoning for contacting Ryan Buell and Paranormal State was to get this family some much needed help, NOT to be on television. And we told Ryan that from the very beginning. And thankfully, we accomplished our goal. The family got the help they needed and we take pride in the fact that we were able to get them that help. And getting them help is what was important. It was not, and still is not, about us; it is about helping those in need. If we never grace the television screens, as long as we are able to help those in need, we are satisfied.

In closing thanks to our friend Ryan Buell and the entire Paranormal State cast and crew for not only helping us, but helping this client as well. You guys are a blessing to many and we pray God will continue to bless you that you may continue to help those in need.

Joe,

I'm really sorry about that. However, I have already asked production if we could publish a deleted scene regarding our taped conversation about the case. They are optimistic that it can happen and I should know more tomorrow.

I'd like to chat later if that's cool. On the road, but I still want to thank you so much for sending us this case. I still talk to Lara and they are still strong.

But don't worry Joe, I'll make sure everyone knows that you worked with us on this case.

Thumbs Up Prichard Boys

I just wanted to say a few good words about the Prichard boys’ work. They are the best and know how to do anything. They are honest and faithful to come to finish your work and do not keep putting someone if front of you. I am really satisfied with their work 100%. I was talking to another person who has them work for him all the time and he said they were the best he ever hired.
