The KCU men pulled off a convincing win Saturday at Heritage Baptist College, 101-63.
The Knights controlled the tempo of the game, forcing the Heritage offense to a halt.
KCU played strong on the boards, finishing the game with a 60-32 advantage in rebounding.
The Knights also shot well in the game, combining for a team total of 48 percent. Clay McKinzie led the way for KCU with 21 points and 11 boards. Jared Ravenscraft had 13 and 12, and Clay McKinzie score 12 points while bringing in 10 rebounds.
Kentucky Christian played tight on the defensive end, limiting Heritage’s chances at the basket. The Knights held Heritage to 29 shots in the first half, while taking 43 of their own.
The win brings KCU’s season total to 2-6. Kentucky Christian was in action again last night, taking on West Virginia Tech on the road.
The Knights next head to Cincinnati to face Cincinnati Christian before traveling to Upland, Ind., to play in the Ivanhoe Classid nest Friday.
