Eight KCU players honored

Dec. 11, 2013 — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Mid-South Conference announced the selections for their All-Conference Squads on Nov. 20. Kentucky Christian University’s football program had eight players distinguished.

Named to the First Team were:

Blake Clowes, #74, a 6’2”, 275 lb. offensive center, is a junior Education major from Hilliard, Ohio. Blake was one of two KCU players named as pre-season NAIA All-America selections by Football Gameplan magazine.

Daryl Jones, #94, a 6’4”, 265 lb. defensive end, is a junior majoring in University Studies. He is from Goose Creek, South Carolina.

Marvin Newkirk, #97, a 6’1”, 280 lb. nose tackle, from Indiantown, Florida, is a senior Education major. He was also named as a pre-season Football Gameplan NAIA All-America.

Andrew Stewart, #12, is a 6’0”, 215 lb. freshman from Cadiz, Kentucky. He played linebacker for the Knights, and is studying Education.

Mike Ritter, #30, is a 5’8”, 180 lb. defensive back from Memphis, Tennessee. He is a junior, studying Business Administration.

Jemichael Williams, #6, is a 5’9”, 195 lb. defensive back from Knoxville, Tennessee. He is a senior, and is studying Education.

Named to the Second Team were:

Denzel Cameron, #14, a 5’9”, 200 lb. junior linebacker from Newnan, Georgia. He is majoring in Business Administration.

Joshua Cobb, #43, a 5’10”, 210 lb. outside linebacker, is from Cincinnati, OH. He is a junior majoring in University Studies.
