KCU women’s basketball alumni game announced

Aug. 14, 2013 — The Kentucky Christian University team is getting some old teams back together.

Women's basketball coach Ron Arnett has announced that the annual Women’s Basketball Alumni Game has been set for Saturday, Oct. 26.

As in past years, all former players are invited and urged to attend. Both alumni and current players will meet for Devotions and prayer at noon with tip off of the annual game set for 1 p.m.

Each year there are a few players who come who will not be playing. Coach Arnett encourages all former players to attend, whether to play or to just enjoy the time together with former teammates.

“One of my favorite days of the year is when our alumni come back to campus for our annual Alumni Game,” Arnett said. “It is great for me to see the outstanding young women who have made this program what it is today. They are the ones who have worked so hard and have sacrificed so much to put the banners on the walls of the Damron Hall of Champions.”

To register for the event or for more information, contact Arnett at rarnett@kcu.edu or call 474-3151. This year's model of the Lady Knights will feature eight returning players and six incoming freshmen.
