June 26, 2013 — Terri Cline Alderman, 49, of Olive Hill, was booked Tuesday afternoon at the Rowan County Detention Center to begin serving her five-year sentence for theft of public funds.
She was sentenced June 7 but was given time to receive medical treatment before reporting to state custody.
Alderman confessed to taking more than $86,000 from Morehead Tomorrow, Inc., while serving as the downtown organization’s executive director.
She made full restitution of the missing money as part of a plea agreement.
Alderman held the same position with the Morehead Tourism Commission but all of that agency’s funds were accounted for.
