An Olive Hill man was arrested Thursday after a controlled delivery was made of a package containing approximately 28.5 grams of substance believed to be heroin.
Timothy Buddy Lawhorn, 31, was charged with first degree trafficking in a controlled substance greater than 2 grams.
Detectives with the Fivco Area Drug Enforcement Task Force (FADE), working in cooperation with the United States Postal Service made the arrest after an investigation that began several weeks ago. FADE and the US Postal Inspectors Office continue to investigate the incident and more charges could be pending.
Lawhorn is lodged in the Carter County jail and no bond has been set.
The Fivco Area Drug Enforcement Task Force (FADE) is made up of detectives of the Flatwoods, Raceland, Vanceburg, Olive Hill and Russell Police Departments and the Carter County Sheriffs Department FADE operates in Greenup, Carter, and Lewis Counties.
