May 14, 2014 — The 44th annual Grayson Memory Days 2014 has set its schedule of events for the May 22-24 celebration. Again this year there will be three nights of free music on the bandstand in downtown Grayson. Thursday will be Country with Southern Ground and the Dwain Messer Band; Friday will be Rock with Jesse Cline from American Idol, Hung Jury and City Heat. Saturday will be a Bluegrass night featuring Pactolus Pony Riders and Hazel Holler girls.
As always, the week will feature the parade on Saturday, May 24, two art shows, a 5K race, automobile and quilt displays, window decorations, a dog jog and kids games. There will also be the Strolling Troubadours and an afternoon of patriotic and inspirational fun and music.
This year's theme is “WE are Carter County.” Parade Grand Marshals will be the Carter County Youth Leadership Corps.
Memory Days is a project of the Grayson Area Chamber of Commerce with major funding provided by Grayson Tourism Commission.

Street closing: Main Street will be closed on Saturday, May 24, from 8 a.m. – after the parade is finished -about 3 p.m. from Landsdowne Avenue to Pomeroy Street.
