June 20, 2012 — Arvis and Elizabeth Riffe celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Pigeon Forge, TN. They were united in marriage on June 20, 1952, at the Pactolus Methodist Church by the Rev. J. C. Harris. They are the parents of three children, Brenda (Frank) Forrest, Tom (Marcia) Riffe and Karen Elfreich. They have four grandchildren, Bethany Barber, Sarah Everman, Matthew Elfreich and Christian Elfreich, and four great-grandchildren, Kerrick Barber, Kaden Barber, Kenzie Barber and Macey Everman.
Arvis and Elizabeth grew up as children on Crane Creek, Greenup County Kentucky and later became teenage sweethearts. Durning their 60 years of marriage the Riffes have lived in Greenup and Carter Counties and now reside in Grayson.
