ACTC theatre auditions

Aug. 14, 2013 — Auditions for the Ashland Community and Technical College Theatre production of Kiss Me Kate will be held Aug.19 and 20 at 7 p.m. in the J.B. Sowards Theatre on the College Drive Campus.

Adults, high school and college students are invited to audition. The cast includes 30 to 35 performers, with equal roles for men and women.

There are no non-singing roles but performers can have average singing voices.

Those auditioning are expected to sing, dance, and read as part of the audition, and no advance preparation is required. Selections of music from the musical will be taught before auditions begin.

For students under 18, a parent or guardian must attend the beginning of the audition.

Cast members should be able to attend 7:00 p.m. rehearsals and Saturday work sessions.
